What you will learn

You’ll first see the process through a live demonstration, followed by guided, hands-on practice.

Introduction to traditional block printing and tools

Understanding wooden blocks, motifs, and repeat patterns wooden blocks are made and used

Fabric placement, pressure, alignment, and layering

You’re welcome to bring your own plain fabric items to print on

Why this workshop

If you’ve ever admired hand-printed fabrics and wondered how they’re actually made, this workshop is for you.

This session takes you through the fundamentals of traditional block printing and then puts the tools in your hands. You’ll learn the process, understand the craft, and create something of your own — slowly, intentionally, and without pressure.

No prior experience needed.
